Mission of Family and Consumer Sciences Education at the Middle Level: To provide students with classroom experiences which allow them to develop the knowledge and skills needed to become independent, responsible, and contributing family and community members. Through performance tasks and authentic performance assessments, students have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of the concepts which will help them manage the challenges of daily living. Students attend 15 classes during their cycle in Family and Consumer Sciences.
